My family loves new experiences and traveling around the United States has allowed me to experience a lot.
Over the years I have been to some of the 50 states. I love seeing all the diversity in each place. I love exploring museums, shops, and monuments. I also love eating different foods from each place I go.
Beaches
Ocean City, Maryland & Washington, DC
Almost every year we visit my paternal family in Maryland, DC and Virginia. In the summer we spend time at my Lolo and Lola’s(Filipino for Grandfather and Grandmother) beach house in Ocean City, MD. We tend to spend days with many family members.
Saco, Beach & Portland, Maine
My parents were married on Saco Beach, Maine and when we go to Portland, we like to visit. I’ve also spent time with my maternal uncle’s family in Old Orchard Beach.
St. Pete Beach, Florida
St. Pete Beach is where my father used to live and work and where some of my family also lives. St Petersburg has many restaurants and shops and is real artsy. The beaches are nice as well.
USA
Disney – Orlando, Florida
This past summer, I had my first trip to Disney World. I went with my grandparents and aunt’s family. We visited the four main parks. My favorite was Disney Holywood because I had a great time spending it with my dad.
Yellow Stone National Park, Salt Lake City, Utah & Idaho
I was 8 when I went to the Midwest and visited Salt Lake City, Utah and Rexburg, Idaho where my mom’s cousin has a ranch. They have 65 horses and takes tourists on rides through Harriman State Park, south of Yellowstone. We also spent a night at Yellowstone National Park where I saw buffalo, elk and black bear.
Atlanta, Philadelphia, New York City & Boston
I was lucky to go to Atlanta because of my dad’s work. We visited the Civil Rights Museum and Coca Cola Museum. We have friends in Philadelphia and we visit when we can. I like going to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. We try to go to New York City often but since COVID we have not gone as a family in a while. I love the Strand Bookstore in Greenwich Village and also eating Sushi. We’ve been to a Boston Red Sox game for my school and I have spent time in downtown Boston and Cambridge. Boston is so historic.
