It's Obvious, I Love to Read.
Reading is my life. I don’t just read for school, I read for fun.
When I’m reading I escape into a different dimension. Within books, you can live all different kinds of lives and do things that are impossible in real life.
I Do Actually Love to Read.
Unlike most of my classmates, I actually love to read. When I’m reading, it feels like I’m transported to a different place where I can be anything I want to be. My mom read to me every single day since the day I was brought home, and she says I would listen intensely and my eyes would scan the pictures over and over as I listened to the words. “More!” was the word I used most when the book ended. Once I could read independently, I spent most of my free time reading or doing art. When I read, it gives me ideas for characters to draw, and it fuels my imagination. Most of my close friends share this passion and we share books recommendations with each other and talk about the endlessly. I can’t imagine a world without books!
Blog Entry : July 2015 - Michelle Foronda
Beatrice has been motivated to try to read books silently lately and she has just started doing so in the past couple weeks, with some books that are fairly easy for her. After we read our own books side by side in bed last night, I asked her how it feels to be able to ready quietly all by herself?
Answer: Mouth-wateringly good!
FAVORITE BOOKS
Some of my favorite books and series are The Darkest Minds, Legendborn, Sky Hunger, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, and Lunar Chronicles. When I was little I loved Shel Silverstein’s poetry, and basically anything my mom would read to me, or we would listen together on audiobooks. I can’t imagine life without my precious books!

One of my favorite bookstores is The Strand in NYC. It has five glorious floors of books!
